Home Assistants For Seniors provides assistance to the elderly as their daily tasks become more challenging and they are looking at staying in familiar
surroundings. All our services are personalized, flexible and tailored to individual requirements.
Outings and shopping
An Assistant can transport clients to visit family and friends, movies, Christmas shopping, posting letters, banking and supermarket shopping.
Escorting to appointments
An Assistant can transport clients to the dentist, hairdresser, doctor or specialist appointments.
Help with domectic tasks
Assistance with changing linen, meal planning, preparation and cooking.
Support – post hospital discharge
An Assistant can live-in while the transition from hospital to home is made while convalescing post surgery.
An Assistant can supervise walks encouraging confidence and safety.
An Assistant can provide social interaction, reading, playing bridge, card and board games and help with texting, sending emails and skyping friends and family.
Ongoing communications with family
Family are notified of any change in general health or appearance straight away. The service is modified immediately.

After contacting Home Assistants For Seniors, Jo or Felicity will arrange a time to visit you and your elderly family member. The Managers will discuss your needs and then together put a tailored plan in place to enable your loved one to live independently in their home. The tasks are listed so expectations are clear.
Home Assistants For Seniors recruits Assistants that have empathy for seniors and are perceptive, sensitive and able to make decisions. The Assistant recruitment process is thorough with routine police vetting and reference checking for character and work histories. All Assistants have completered a First Aid Course.
A home care Assistant is carefully matched to the client so a rapport will be established. The Assistant is then introduced and orientated to their new position. The position may be 2 hours per week or 24 hours everyday. Assistants work the days and hours most suited to you, the client, providing the support that is required. The plan can be modified as the client's needs change so they can “age in their home”.
